We came, we saw, we conquered…the gift shop

On our last day we’ve had a breakfast of champions, which set us up nicely to take on the Royal Mile, and toured Edinburgh Castle.

The sun has been shining on us as we saw the Scottish Crown Jewels, explored the dungeons and most importantly- visited the gift shop!

We’re on the bus now, headed back to the boat.

See you all soon!

A “hole” lot of fun at crazy golf

We put our golf skills to the test at Volcano Falls Adventure Golf. There was some great golf on show with a few hole in ones! While for others it became a real test of patience! Regardless great fun was had by all!

We returned to the hotel for some pasta bolognese, chips, beans and the now famous chicken nuggets!

A wild day out at the safari park

Everyone has had a wonderful day at the safari park. There were so many different animals, from lions and giraffes, to rhinos and lemurs, and even a tiger! The birds of prey show was a big hit, especially when the vulture swooped down over our heads. Though the highlight was the pedalos! The whole day was made even better as the sun shone throughout.

Nuggets better than McDonald’s

Tonight’s dinner was chicken nuggets, chips and beans with some vegan sausages and burgers on the side. One pupil even told Dr Walker to hire that chef because these nuggets are better than McDonald’s! This was followed by a selection of delivery cakes.

The pupils are all in bed now, resting up for a fun filled day at the safari tomorrow. There were some tired looking faces this evening!

(If anyone needs a tv fixed, I know a couple of guys that can help - see the last pic!)

Ganaway Day 3!

Day 3 started with a delicious breakfast of pancakes, giving everyone plenty of energy for the activities ahead. Groups took part in archery, caving and the low-ropes course this morning.

We’ve had a very successful time on our Ganaway residential. It’s been wonderful to see the children growing in confidence and teamwork throughout the trip. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back at HPS and we’re sure you’re looking forward to hearing all their stories!

Ganaway Day 2!

An amazing second day at Ganaway! The morning was spent tackling the very wet and muddy obstacle course…there were lots of laughs, slippery moments and brilliant teamwork.

In the afternoon, it was off to the forest for a competitive game of laser tag. The children had a great time darting between trees, hiding from the other team and planning their strategies. Lots of excitement and friendly competition!

We’re so proud of how well the pupils are working together and encouraging one another.

We’re looking forward to another fun-filled morning tomorrow.

Ganaway 2025! Day 1

P6 arrived safely and have had a fantastic first day at Ganaway Activity Centre. After settling in, they jumped straight into the adventure taking part in two exciting activities including zip line, high ropes, archery and rock climbing. The smiles and laughter said it all as they challenged themselves and cheered each other on.

This evening, everyone gathered for a talent show where we were treated to lots of drama, dancing and jokes.

It’s been a wonderful start to the trip and we’re all looking forward to more adventures tomorrow!

Day 2 got the ‘seal’ of approval!

Started the day with a hearty breakfast and with lunches in hand, boarded the bus for Dynamic Earth. The children enjoyed learning about life from the beginning of time and participating in a workshop all about life in Space.

After some lunch, we all headed to Deep Sea World, the highlight was watching the seals get fed and the shark tunnel.

The next stop was bowling, after some spares, strikes and a few gutter balls, we all headed back home for dinner at the hotel.

The weather is looking great for the trip to the safari park tomorrow.

First stop, Glasgow Science Centre!

We had a few sleepy heads on the bus after our early start this morning, including Mr Field! P7 enjoyed a fantastic time at Glasgow Science Centre, learning about our solar system at the Planetarium and exploring illusions and science experiments. All well fed and back on the bus to the hotel. Watch out Edinburgh here we come!
