It's lovely to see such a range of displays that the boys and girls have created in the classrooms and corridors around the school. Thanks to P7 pupils, Hannah and Ella , who have taken pictures of some of the most recent displays. Thanks everyone!

P2 loved taking assembly today. They told the other classes about the importance of being a good listener and how it feels when someone takes the time to listen to us. They acted out a story of a bear who had a problem. Only one character in the story listened to what was wrong with bear. In P2 we know that we have our friends, family, teachers and God to listen to us.

Mrs McCartney & Mrs Clarke are on hand if they need any help! Well done P4!
We had a paper aeroplane competition!!
Parachute Investigation
P3 made parachutes for their Duplo men out of different materials as part of their travel topic. They had lots of fun throwing their Duplo men off the staircase. They discovered parachutes made from bubble wrap had the softest landing, taking only 4.3 seconds to land on the floor.
Lifejacket Investigation
We also made lifejackets for Duplo men from paper, cardboard, cotton wool and bubble wrap to see which ones would float.
While some of our children were in Ganaway having fun, so too were some of our other boys and girl at home. They had a great few days. On Friday they went into Holywood with Mrs Forster and Mrs Dowling. They enjoyed a visit to Mauds going to Jonny the Jig and even found time to buy Mrs Crookshanks a bunch of tulips on the way back to school !
You can tell by the smiles on their faces that they enjoyed their treat!
Can you spot Mrs Dowling on the swings?!
From measuring, painting, science, construction and music....... where do they find the time?! Well done P5!
This week we welcomed Oscar's Dad to Room 18 and Charlotte's Dad to Room 17. They both work as Estate Agents and told us about their jobs. They were able to answer lots of our questions about buying and selling houses and showed us how they use Maths and ICT in their jobs. They brought some great props with them too! it was a really interesting ending to our Building and Homes Topic.
World Down Syndrome Day 2018
Every year World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on March 21st. One of the activities people all over the world did yesterday was to wear odd socks! Room 15 joined in too! We think they look great! 👍
