P2 enjoyed an activity day at the beach. They had great fun playing team games, building sandcastles and playing at the park. Their costumes looked tremendous!
Our beautiful mural!
The P1 and P2 children have designed and painted a wonderful 'under the sea' mural on the wall at the back gate entrance to school. The children worked under the direction of local artist, Marie Kearney. Thank you to Mrs Kearney and the parent volunteers who kindly donated their time to assist with the painting. We think it looks fantastic!
Trip to Crawfordsburn
P3 enjoyed their trip to Crawfordsburn Country Park. Minibeast hunts and pond dipping!

P5 took a walk around Holywood on Friday!
P5 Measuring Morning
P5 spent the morning measuring each other. Then they had to design an Egyptian sarcophagus (in chalk) out in the playground.
P5 at W5!
P5 had an exciting day out to W5! The highlight being an investigative workshop where P5 helped catch a thief using a range of scientific techniques including fingerprints, chromatography and DNA!
We all got soaked at the Summer Fair!
To finish off the great evening at the School Fair, the fabulous weather was perfect for the traditional soaking by the Holywood firemen!
Zoo Adventures!
P1 had a fantastic trip to the zoo this week. They loved looking at the animals and learning lots of interesting facts. They entertained the giraffes with a lovely poem!
P4-P7 Healthy eaters
Many of our P4- P7 boys and girls are great at bringing in healthy breaks each day. Well done to these pupils. A special mention to P7, Mrs Clarke's class, who with the help of Mrs Forster ( also affectionately known by the boys and girls as the Healthy Break police officer!) have been working really hard this year to bring healthy breaks every day.
Being Thankful Assembly
P2 room 8's assembly was about being thankful. We acted out the story 'A Squash and a Squeeze'. The little old lady thought her house was too small until it was full of animals and then she realised she should be grateful for what she had!
Super actors and actresses.
The narrators told the story beautifully.
We talked about things we are thankful for.
We painted some pictures too.
We told the story of Jesus healing the 10 men with lepracy. Only one man remembered to thank you to Jesus!
We finished off with a poem about lots of things we are thankful for. Room 8 loved taking assembly!
Healthy Break Champs!
WELL DONE – HEALTHY BREAK CHAMPS!
All the children are encouraged to bring healthy breaks to school. During the year Mrs Hart, our Health Education co-ordinator, acknowledges the effort of the boys, girls and parents. This term she has organised goodie bags for some of the boys and girls who bring in healthy snacks each day. Here are some of our P1 – P3 boys and girls. Well done and thank you!

P5 Assembly
Thanks to Mrs Brown's class for taking Assembly. Their 'introduction' included some conundrums! They went on to retell the story of the Prodigal son (AKA Brodie!).The message for everyone was that no matter how hard it might be, saying sorry and meaning it, is the best thing to do. Well done to all the boys and girls. They did so well as there were many speaking parts in the Assembly! Click on the picture below to see some more.
A special mention to Mrs Stewart and Mrs McCartney who accompanied the singing today on their guitars. They were great too!
Getting ready for Sports Day heats
P7 Special Treat
While some of our children were in Edinburgh having fun, so too were some of our other boys and girl at home. They had a great afternoon when they went into Holywood with Mrs Carson! You can tell by the smiles on their faces that they enjoyed their treat!
