Shopping in Holywood
We have begun our new topic about our town, Holywood. We took a walk to the town and looked at all the different shops Holywood has. We have been thinking this week about food and supermarkets so we visited Tesco Express and asked the staff some questions. We bought some ingredients to make buns and some soup to taste, we used the self-service tills and looked at the different ways to pay for shopping. It was a great morning out!
Thanks to the PTA
P6 Room 12 are delighted with all the games and books they got with the PTA Wish List money.
P3 Toy topic
Our P3 children really enjoyed a visitor from Mount Stewart. Lady Mary's Nanny told everyone about the toys the children used many years ago.
P5 Enjoying maths games
Thanks to our supportive parent volunteers, including Mr Burrows who played Bingo with some of our P5 children.
Autumn authors
Molly and Maia have created their very own Autumn books. They are so colourful, just like the leaves in Autumn. Well done girls.

Being creative assembly
Being Creative was the theme for Miss Riddell's class Assembly.
We saw and heard about how the boys and girls are creative. They also explained the story of Creation. Well done P7.
Friday fun in P1!
We can't believe that our P1 boys and girls have completed three weeks at HPS. It is great to see them well settled and enjoying a wide range of activities in their classrooms, using our new iPads as well as making new friends. Well done boys and girls.
P4 Room 15 PE in the sunshine
P4 enjoying PE in the playground
The boys and girls enjoyed their first of many PE lessons outside. Mrs McCartney and the boys and girls took advantage of the good weather.
Breaktime in the garden
Miss Riddell's class made the most of the good weather and enjoyed having their healthy breaks and a 'wee chat' outside in the garden area. Fingers crossed there will be many more opportunities like this (if the good old NI weather keeps up!)

Primary 1 trip to the zoo
Enjoy looking at all our photos from our trip to the Zoo. There are lots more in our Gallery section too!
P2 Room 8 - getting lost
Room 8 took assembly this week. They told a story about a boy named Tom who had lost his pet rabbit. Tom asked for help from safe adults and was able to find his rabbit again. Room 8 told everyone some important rules to remember if they ever get lost and acted out a story of a girl getting lost in the supermarket and the Parable of the lost sheep. They really enjoyed reciting their poem and acting on stage.

P1 Room 1 - Telling the truth
P1 Room1 took assembly on Wednesday 4th February. We talked about being honest and not telling lies.
One group told a story from our reading books about blaming each other for something they didn’t do.
Another larger group told the story of ‘The boy who cried wolf.’ Toby was the shepherd boy and Finlay was a scary wolf.
Everyone remembered their lines and where they had to stand. Mrs. Wallace was very proud of the whole class.
