HPS well represented at Cross Country run!
Kick Off for HPS Footballers
Holywood’s football season got underway this afternoon as the new league format kicked off at Eddie Irvine Sports Complex in Bangor.
The league consists of 16 teams competing from across the Ards and North Down area and matches take place once a month where each school plays a total of 3 games.
Holywood’s opponents for todays fixtures were Towerview P.S, Crawfordsburn P.S and Clandeboye P.S. Holywood had a lot of boys competing and representing the school for the first time and their enthusiasm showed from the first whistle. The boys worked hard as a team and put together some brilliant passages of play over their 3 games that led to some fantastic goals by Ben (3), Ruan. Zak and Luke. For all their hard work, Holywood unfortunately were edged in all 3 of their games but their attitude and application were excellent and they did themselves and their school proud.
A great day of football overall with plenty to build on for the future games to come!
SQUAD: Cameron, Benjamin, Joshua P, Matthew, Ruan, Luke, Oliver, Zak and Ben (C).

The Christmas cards designed by the boys and girls were great this year!
Special congratulations to Matthew (P6) and George (P7). Their Christmas cards were chosen by Mrs Crookshanks as covers for Holywood Primary School’s Christmas cards that will be sent to other schools this Christmas.
WELL DONE boys!
PTA Christmas Fair another great success!
Many thanks to everyone who came along to support the Christmas Fair. A highlight for many of the younger children this year was a visit from Santa!
We are so grateful to the fabulous parent volunteers, family friends and Priory College pupils who helped to set up earlier today, man a stall and / or help to tidy up extremely well afterwards. It was so encouraging to see a number of new faces on the PTA team today along with the familiar HPS faces too. It simply made everything so much easier!
A special mention to Kellie Shimmin and volunteers who have been working really hard to prepare for the Fair over a number of weeks. Their teamwork ensured everything ran smoothly and hopefully allowed parents and grandparents to relax while the boys and girls had great fun. Thanks also to Kellie Grant for co-ordinating the great raffle prizes too which were generously donated by local businesses and families closely connected to HPS .
**********************A FANTASTIC TOTAL OF OVER £2400 WAS RAISED !**************************
Once again thank you so much for all your help and supporting the Fair today. There certainly was plenty of Christmas cheer at HPS!

Shared Education Day for P3!
All the P3 boys and girls in Holywood Primary travelled today to the Queens Leisure Complex in Holywood to meet for the first time with all the P3 pupils at Glencraig Integrated Primary for what promised to be a fun filled day! Both schools were excited and enthusiastic about their first meeting as part of their Shared Education Partnership.
The P3 pupils experienced lots of icebreaker games to get to know each other followed by lots of activities to keep both the pupils, staff and parent helpers entertained. The pupils from both schools worked together in groups to complete arts and craft activities and parachute games before all coming together to do lots of dancing during our energetic Zumba class! Mr Atcheson stole the show with his own rendition of the Cha Cha Slide!
All the pupils finished by singing a lovely song all about friendship before waving goodbye! All the P3 pupils I’m sure will be looking forward to meeting up with their new friends from Glencraig Integrated Primary School very soon! :)
