Wow! What a Final Assembly. Each year we traditionally have a final assembly on the last day of term. This year was very special. All our P1-P6 children and members of staff congratulated a number of children who were presented with prizes for being pupils of the term.Well done boys and girls.
The choir sang a beautiful piece from Beauty and the Beast.
SIXTY - EIGHT boys and girls achieved 100% attendance for 2016-2017. Well done!
Mrs Crookshanks thanked members of staff who are finishing with us this year, Mrs Donald, Mr Ogburn and Mrs McClenahan. Mrs McClenahan is retiring (early!) after fourteen years at HPS. During her time with us she has been so supportive of the children in her care. Her musical talents have been a welcome addition to many school Nativities, School Productions and After School Music Clubs. She also led the Roots of Empathy Programme. Mr Ogburn is finishing after seven years with us. In addition to supporting many pupils in the school, he has taken After School Multiskills Clubs and has had much success helping to coach the P6 & P7 football teams. We wish him well as he completes his studies to become a Social Worker. Mrs Donald will also be finishing with us this year to take up a new teaching post in Greenwood Primary School.
Thank you to each of them for all their kindness, good humour and commitment to HPS.
They will be missed!
